I decided that I wanted to expand my sales and give my local area easy access and opportunity to get their hands on tasty treats. So, I started the Baked Sins box! Where people can come and pick the treats they like and leave payment via QR code or honesty box. It’s set up right outside the front of my home, in Ringstead 🙂 and so far….so good!! 😀

Rushden Rhymes was founded over a cup of coffee and an idea to fill a gap in the local spoken word poetry scene. The goal was to create a welcoming space for Rushden residents and surrounding areas, where people could be authentic and share their words, no matter their experience level. In just ten months, a dedicated community has blossomed on the doorstep of our high street. The group is made up of not only inspiring poets, but also incredible people who have connected and grown closer through sharing heartfelt poetry. This sense of community is the reason why Rushden Rhymes continues.
This warm, homely atmosphere has captured the attention of the BBC on three separate occasions, resulting in a featured article and two live radio interviews.

After previously working in partnership, I decided to go solo and launch LJ’s Carpet Care. Since going live in April 2025, we’ve experienced fantastic growth — completing around 50 residential and 10 commercial jobs so far.
